birth preparation

Reflexology is a wonderful therapy for gentle preparations in the weeks leading up to delivery. It can be incredibly soothing for women in the late stages of pregnancy when there is increased pressure on the legs, knees, feet and back, increased fluid retention and difficulty sleeping. It is also useful in managing stress and anxiety at a time when there are many preparations for when the baby arrives. Birth Preparation Reflexology is only available if you are 36+ to 40+ weeks.

This dedicated plan is designed specifically for the 4 - 6 weeks before your due date, with a 90 minute Initial Consultation and Treatment in the first session followed by 3 x 90min weekly sessions. The plan can be booked online below.

Combining Maternity Reflexology sessions with the Birth Preparation Plan ensures you are supported from your second trimester onwards and I recommend this as a supportive course of sessions.
One of my clients, Stephanie*, began attending Maternity Reflexology sessions (available from the second trimester) and my Birth Preparation Plan in the weeks leading up to her due date. She was keen to avoid being induced and attended a Due Date Reflexology session, and gave birth to her health baby 48 hours later. Read more about Stephanie's experience here.

Due Date
Due Date sessions are to encourage the body's contraction response. These sessions are available if you are 40 weeks and 4+ days however in certain circumstances can be available from 40 weeks+. Please visit Maternity | Due Date for more information.

Blessingway (Mother's Blessing)
The Blessingway is a Goddess led ceremony in circle celebrating the expectant mother and offering blessings to both the mother and baby. For women who wish to celebrate their upcoming motherhood, the Blessingway is a spiritual and shamanic gathering that many women arrange either as an addition, or as an alternative, to a baby shower.  These can be conducted one to one or in a group session. Please contact me for more details.
